 ABOUT

Laura is a storyteller at heart; a director, screenwriter, and TV producer who traded long production hours for the creative adventure of novel writing. With a Bachelor of Film and TV from the Victorian College of the Arts, she spent over a decade working in television production across Sydney, London, and Melbourne. Her short films have earned recognition at international festivals including Tribeca, New York, in 2018 with the world premiere of Knuckles, and recently the 2026 St Kilda Festival with Catching up with Lee

Now, Laura brings her cinematic instincts to fiction, crafting magical universes and vivid characters. Shadows of Air is Laura’s debut novel, the first book in the Veiled Elements trilogy. Her passion lies with developing rich fantasy, sci-fi worlds with more spice than romance.
